A 1941 RAF Sector clock in
largely original condition. The clock appears to have been untouched
during its RAF service and remains as made by Elliotts except that the
centre of the dial and the edge of the dial had rusted. These have now
been restored as you can tell from the slight blue tinge visible in the
photograph. This is a characteristic of my camera and much less evident
in real life. The numerals and coloured segments are untouched and have
the characteristic faded look of 1941 paint which lacked aniline to keep
the dyes fast.
The movement is currently being stripped and cleaned and the clock
will be available in about five weeks time.
