Clock No:  2029

RAF Sector clock No: 2029

A 1941 RAF Sector Clock in original condition made by FW Elliott Ltd.  The clock is made to the wartime ‘tone down’ standard with a matt black cast bezel and the mahogany case finished in a dark shade.

We first purchased this clock four years ago from a Canadian in British Columbia.  He had bought it whilst at University in Chicago.  There are labels on the clock which record it being serviced in Chicago in 1992 and in Victoria BC in 2001.  We bought it and imported it back to this country and sold it in its original condition.  We have just bought it back and are able to offer it for sale for a second time.

The clock has been serviced recently and has run satisfactorily on test.  The dial has crazed with age and was beginning to flake so the last owner added a semi-matt coat of clear varnish, which has stabilised it.

The case and movement are in first class original condition.  The serial number of the movement suggests that the clock was made early in 1941.
