We bought several tropen propellers from Germany a few years ago and this is the last that we have for sale.  It is made of various laminations of mahogany to withstand the extremes (and perhaps the insects) of the Middle East.  

The prop was built for the 200 hp Benz engine that powered recce aircraft such as the Albatros C-VII, the DFW and the LVG.  Most of these props that we found were stamped for the LVG C 6 (sic) but this one is unmarked.

The prop is in conserved condition.  The original varnish has been lightly cut back and a new layer of French polish added.
