Clock No:  2089  SOLD

A 1935 RAF Officers' Mess mantel clock.

Clock No: 2089

This clock comes from the first batch of RAF clocks made for the expansion of the Royal Air Force in 1935.  It is the smaller of the two RAF mantel clocks and is about thirteen and a half inches high.  Both the movement and case are dated 1935.

Clock No: 2089

The clock has been sympathetically restored by a previous owner.  The dial appears to have the original silver finish. It carries the royal cipher and crown of King George V.

Clock No: 2089

It came from an auction at an RAF airfield in the 1960’s in Gloucestershire.
