Crusade In Europe

Written by the then General Dwight D Eisenhower, and first published in 1948, although this is a third edition published in 1949.  Eisenhower plots the course of the war from1939 to May 1945 and the book is of note because it contains his views and perspective written immediately after the conflict ended.  This edition was liberated from the station library at RAF Lubeck during 1949 and was used by Johnnie Johnson as a reference book whilst writing ‘Wing Leader’ several years later.
