Throttle Full Open

Stock No: 864/4A biography of Lady Bailey, renowned Irish Aviatrix.  She was born Mary Westenra, the first child of Derrick, fifth Baron Rossmore of Rossmore Park in County Monaghan.  

 

She became a celebrated flyer in the late 1920’s, most famous for her flight from Cape Town to London and back in her DH Moth.  

 

She served as a WAAF Officer during WW2.  This book was written by Jane Falloon and published in Ireland in 1999.  

 

 

 

 

 

There is a hand written note on the flyleaf to Johnnie Johnson from her signed at St Clements Dane’s on 13 June 2000.
