If you already have an RAF clock
please let us know the type and serial number from the back of the
movement. We are gathering material for a book and your
information will be most useful to us.
Our clock stock
includes mantel clocks made for RAF
Sergeants' and Officers' Messes. These are usually oak but very
occasionally were made in high grade mahogany. Wall
clocks include dial clocks used as office clocks on RAF Stations.
RAF
Sector Clocks were used in many RAF Ops Rooms for fighter control
and much associated with the Battle of Britain.
Generally our clocks have been sympathetically
overhauled and restored
by expert craftsmen. Often the case is dismantled and re-glued to
replace old crystalline glue; the movement is stripped, cleaned and
overhauled; and the new glass is fitted. This process costs around
£400, but if you would prefer to buy a clock in entirely original
condition we can certainly provide one. For example, an
un-restored white dial clock would cost about £700, whereas fully restored
it would be about £1,300.
Our wooden propellers,
are laminated and mainly from military aircraft from WW1. Mostly
these are in good original condition, but occasionally we have a
restored propeller which has been re-varnished. We also have a few
propellers from the
1920s and 1930s.
We normally have a few high grade items of aviation-memorabilia
such as the RAF station bell.
We provide a
full description with each item.
We deliver anywhere in mainland UK. We are experienced in shipping to
